New Projects
February 14th, 2010
Imogen has been linked to TWO new projects, girl keeps herself busy. First off is Jane Eyre where it was announced that the likes of Judi Dench and Jamie Bell would also co-star. This is the same ‘Jane Eyre’ that helms Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska as the leads, there is no inclination of what role Imogen is to play though she is likely about the right age to play Blanche Ingram.
Secondly there is Hello Darkness which is also set to star Dominic Cooper and Julie Christie and is described as such by ScreenDaily:
Cooper is being lined up to play a tough, handsome, working class vampire who cruises the pubs of Newcastle on a Saturday night to feed on drunken young women, then returns to his faithful aging hemophiliac wife (Christie). But his status quo changes when he falls in love with an upper-class science student (Poots).

Wow, I go away on a short trip and so much happens in that space of time. Firstly thanks to Sarika for linking in the comments the trailer for Centurion, you can see Imogen at 1.09 and from it I can’t gather what her character may be of.
The movie has been compared to King Arthur (which many see as a poor film) to Gladiator. In my opinion it looks set to be a film I would see, based on the strong cast (Michael Fassbender/Noel Clarke/Dominic West/Imogen) but also the fact it’s largely a British based production and so they may be less inclined to go down the ‘Hollywood’ route of blood/sex/fighting. It also faces competition in The Eagle of the Ninth which is coming out this year and focuses along the same Legion of Roman soldiers – we shall see how it fares.
‘Cordelia’ to film in summer!
January 15th, 2010
At last we have news! According to Hollywood Hawks:
Hoffman [the director of "Cordelia"] will be heading to England and France this summer to direct “Cordelia,” which stars actress Imogen Poots (“28 Weeks Later”). He describes it as “an original love story set in castles in the 1400s, inspired by ‘King Lear.
Yay!
First Post of 2010!
January 3rd, 2010
I have a nice small update today, firstly Imogen attended on Dec 28th The 14th Annual Capri Hollywood International Film Festival with Jesse Eisenberg, her co-star from Solitary Man, so from that I’m assuming that’s why she was attending. Also I’ve added images of Imogen in a video from Dazed Digital which accompanies the photoshoot that she did with them earlier last year.
Merry Christmas to all!

And here’s to hoping that the New Year brings us plenty more of Imogen on our small and big screens.

A Bouquet of Barbed Wire
November 12th, 2009
There has been a press release of a new project that Imogen is linked to with ITV. It’s called A Bouquet of Barbed Wire and has started filming this week.
A modern reworking of Andrea Newman’s taboo-busting 1970s psychological drama, and adapted by Guy Andrews, A Bouquet of Barbed Wire explores the consequences of a father’s obsessive love for his daughter and how secrets once buried in the past return to haunt their lives. Trevor Eve will play Peter Manson, whose apparently successful life is turned upside down when his beloved teenage daughter Prue reveals she’s pregnant by her teacher, Gavin Sorenson. The very heart of the family is threatened as Peter has an intuitive sense that Gavin’s on a personal quest for revenge.
It doesn’t state which character Imogen will be playing but the fact that she’s pretty high on the casting front makes me suspect to her playing the daughter – more on that when I find out.
